Off Campus Housing Office Policy

It is the policy of the Off-Campus Housing Office of the Faculty Student Association, an auxiliary of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, to have all landlords listing their property(s) sign a statement certifying non-Discriminatory practices.

The Off-Campus Housing Office provides a listing service ONLY and does not control nor is responsible for privately owned off campus living units occupied by students. Premises are not inspected, approved or supervised by employees of the Off-Campus Housing Office, nor does it become a party to private landlord-tenant matters except in the case where there is more than one formal written complaint on file by more than one tenant

In order to maintain the accuracy of our listing service, we ask that you please call our office every TWO WEEKS to verify that your unit is still available. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that your unit has been rented and deactivate the listing. In addition the $35 activation fee will last for three months. Your listing will be posted on the website, in-house database and a bulletin board.
